Higher Ed Subcommittee Hears Findings from Sexual Assault Survey
As part of our ongoing work to address sexual assault on college campuses in Arkansas, Dr. Kristen Jozkowski, a professor at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, conducted an anonymous survey in the spring of 2017. Respondents included students at the Fayetteville campus. The findings suggest that 31 percent—nearly one in three—had experienced at least one completed sexual assault. Twenty-three percent reported having experienced two or more completed assaults. The same number said their sexual assault involved two or more perpetrators.
Not one of the survivors told either the Fayetteville Police Department or UAPD about the assault.
