I Just Announced for the Arkansas Senate

In an email to supporters just now, I announced that I'm running for the Arkansas Senate.

Eight years ago today, I stood with family and friends at the Fayetteville Farmers' Market and announced I was running for the Arkansas House. I was very new to politics, and I'd never imagined I'd ever run for office—but there I was. Few people thought we could win that day, but after months of hard work and help from countless people to whom I'll always be grateful (and me wearing holes in the soles of the only nice pair of shoes I owned), we did win.

It's time to wear out another pair.

During my time in the Arkansas House, I've worked to improve the lives of working families. I want to take that fight to the Senate. I hope I can earn your support.

State Senator Uvalde Lindsey announced earlier this month that he won't seek re-election in 2018.

The election is Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
